Meningitis and septicaemia in babies under one is the theme for our Awareness Week (September 21 – 27), and it will also feature our new research project which looks at improving the outcome for newborn babies with bacterial meningitis.

With swine flu so much in the news, the Foundation issued a warning not to be complacent about meningitis and septicaemia as the diseases have similar early symptoms.

    Adidas Dublin City Marathon

The 30th Dublin Marathon takes place October 26th through Dublin’s historic Georgian streets. Join “Team Meningitis” and raise some money to support our vital work.

Race registration is now open by logging onto www.dublinmarathon.ie. But hurry as the closing date is October 5.

    10k fun cycle

Get on your bike on Sunday August 30 for our charity bike ride in Dublin.

The cycle will start and finish at the Clonsilla Inn, beginning at 2:30 pm and light refreshments will be available.
